Happy b/day to me! (Sun. 15th)

Yes, we've reached all the sevens! Can hardly believe it myself even if sometimes feeling it with increasing regularity.
Regret still unable to post any new photos, so profile pic is now two years old. Imagine still sparser hair on top and a few more furrows on the physiognomy below it.

Incidentally, is anyone else also old enough to remember the TV series of L.A. private detectives, '77 Sunset Strip' (1958-64) - [fingers click twice!] - launched to much hoop-la at the time, though hardly ever mentioned since? ("Kookie, Kookie, lend me your comb!")

Really nothing more to say - so that's all for now. Heigh-ho! (sigh) 😉

  1. Happy, happy birthday! And, yes, I remember 77 Sunset Strip, although I didn't realize it ran that long. As a 5-year-old, I had a major crush on Kookie and on Roger Smith.

    1. Very many thanks, Mitch. I too was surprised at how long '77 Sunset' had lasted. I'd have guessed that it was just a year or two, and that maybe our country had given up on it after that. It certainly didn't catch on as much as it was clearly intended to. I just remember Efrem Zimbalist Jnr in it - but Edward ('Kookie') Byrnes only from his record which hit the 'dizzy' heights of #26 in 1960 here.

    1. 'Ta', Carol. Nothing special today, just like every other of my b/days of the last 30+ years, but it don't matter. :-)

    1. Muchas Gratias, Elle. Cold weather now set in, though it should be just a short snap (THEY say!). Cats are feeling it. Had to spend last night sharing the bed with all three of them!

    🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎊🎊🎊🎊

Hope the day and the new year will be greeted as a well one year and happy times and a healthy one. You and the kitties!!!! If i was present I'd give you 77 kissies!!!! I'll be right behind on October 25...but I've never been one to celebrate it...shockingly of all people right? I was supposed to be a Halloween baby, which would have been probably more appropriate, but I arrived early. My mother often says I was early once and I've been late ever since for everything else! Well happy birthday again dear friend and we hope to have many more.

    Xoxo

    1. Grateful as ever for your thoughts, comments, wishes - and 'virtual' b/day XXXXXs, M.M. And the very same (at least!) to you for 10 days time. I hope you have as many more such b/days yourself as I've now reached - plus some extra - though, most importantly, the shining good health to go with it.
      Thanks muchly once more.

    1. Mucho thanks, Sir. Apart from continued satisfactory health for the coming year, some fortuitous extra financial resources would be most welcome - by golly it would! Meanwhile I'll try to live out Lucille Clifton's wise dictum.

  7. Slightly belated happy birthday! I think double 7s should be a lucky number, so hopefully this will be a year full of all the good things!

    1. Thank you, Sadie. If my 78th year (about to be experienced) is to be one where the good stuff exceeds the 'not-so', it'll be the first time that's happened for over thirty years. Can but hope that's what will come about.
I trust you are well yourself. Thanks for the 'visit'.

    1. Thanks ever so, JayGee. I knew of your ailing condition, which I trust continues on the way up to a full and robust recovery. But even if I hadn't known I'm fully aware of what a busy life you lead as well as how many followers you have which obviously precludes any thought that you can keep up with ALL the blogs of others. So, have no concern about not having responded earlier to my post. In fact I'm now flattered that you've found time to come here at all. XXXX.

  12. Merry Christmas, Ray! Hope you are doing something comforting and joyful. We have very quiet Christmas celebrations. The days of big gatherings, etc., are long, long over. And I think that is okay. I celebrate in my own way. Best wishes to you and your feline crew!! ♥

    1. Thanks MUCHO, Elle. I wish no less for you and yours, and a whole lot more. I've not done ANYthing at all 'special' for yesterday, and it's been just the same for many decades now, but that's the way I prefer it. As I've now got no 'friends' left in the sense of physical (human) presences, it's just me and the three pussies, and they wouldn't like any fuss or disruptions either, so that's just fine for the four of us.
Whatever you're doing - or did - I do VERY sincerely wish you all the best for coming days, wild or otherwise - and an especially beneficial and, above all, a most healthy 2024.
      Take care, Dearest.
