Done it - and now I'm a happy chappy!

Solution achieved! The problem was that my archive configuration was set on 'daily' when it should have been 'monthly' - as ridiculously simple as that! Now my blogs show as I want them to, which should also make it easier for my followers to refer back to previous film reviews - and I'm happy as Larry. Grateful thanks to Sadie, Bob, Mitch and Jon especially for offering their thoughts and suggestions. Having put the problem out there it gave me the extra incentive to find the answer.
Thanks again for everyone's time.

  1. Believe it or not, I never even noticed the "daily" or "monthly" thing. My blog archive setting was on "monthly" without me even knowing it!

Anyway, I'm glad you solved the problem, Ray.

    1. Grateful thanks for your concern, Jon. It must have been one of those little things one takes for granted as being 'right' on the day one bought the computer, and then needs adjusting for ones own needs. But can now breathe freely as we've finally got there.

  2. Yeah! It's so frustrating when you know it's probably something simple, but the solution is elusive!

    1. Exactly so, Sadie. Could have saved a lot of sweat if I'd taken the trouble to notice the settings it was already on. But the end result is what we wanted. Thanks to you once more.

  3. So glad you got it resolved! I was worried it was one of those random blogspot quirks that would suddenly right itself.

    1. And what is maddening (no longer), Mitch, is that the answer was so easy and right in front of me all the time. Anyway, fine now - until the next problem emerges.

  4. I just tuned in, after the crisis, but I too am glad it all worked out.

    1. Thanks, Dr Spo. Would be nice to say that it'll be the last time I need help, but very much doubt it.

    2. I imagine you have followers here who would walk the world over to get you a blade of grass that you wanted.

  5. Hey Ray, hope you are safe and Storm Doris isnt affecting you. We lost power for half an hour but other than that we are good. Be safe!

    1. It was blowy here, Sol, but my comfort was that it was far worse in other aprts of the country - and at least we didn't have snow. And you? You've obviously survived, and without notable damage, so that's not bad. Now we'll have a bit of a chilly night - and hope that Spring will beckon us forward. Cheers.
