I won't repeat it all here - but I agree that the incident in the pub toilets quite took me by surprise even though I knew something was going to happen sometime. I'd thought the other chap was going to assume that Pegg was trying to make a pass at him. Such is the manner of my thinking - though I bet I wasn't the only one.Raybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424095016313843883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-85111271457967693792013-08-14T04:49:02.748-07:002013-08-14T04:49:02.748-07:00I really enjoyed TWE and didn't get the sense ...I really enjoyed TWE and didn't get the sense of it being too long. (I'm normally acutely aware of such problems, which may strike some as odd given my love of Peter Jackson's Tolkein films!)

Like you, I was completely unaware of the nature of what was in store for the five musketeers - and really enjoyed the reveal when I found out. oneexwidowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06574357521257043728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-63976514419345320092013-08-04T23:00:23.574-07:002013-08-04T23:00:23.574-07:00'Hot Fuzz' was on our TV only the evening ...'Hot Fuzz' was on our TV only the evening before last. I watched the first hour or so and felt that, like 'Shaun' and now 'W.E.', it falls just short of being top-notch, maybe by a want of discipline - though all three do have the very sharp editing feature which keeps the viewer on his toes.
Perhaps because 'Fuzz' relates to the British Police Force its appeal may be more insular, and may not have had as wide as a release as the other two.Raybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424095016313843883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-4161776129160931872013-08-04T07:38:40.432-07:002013-08-04T07:38:40.432-07:00I'll try to search this one out. Come to think of it, I don't ever recall seeing Shaun in theaters; only on television.Harpers Keeperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02063887885657898897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-86149243879987605462013-07-26T23:27:32.228-07:002013-07-26T23:27:32.228-07:00Yes, I only found out it was Letchworth (somewhere...Yes, I only found out it was Letchworth (somewhere I've never actually been) after I saw the film, but I never knew what you say about the place. Seems a curious but intriguing choice.
It's a special attraction to watch a film using a location one is very familiar with. I can only boast Brighton, Oxford (incl. In fact, we used to live in Letchworth.

It's a challenging location for a film as Letchworth was designed by a Quaker and has very few pubs due to that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
