But I really don't think the 1960 version was in need of improvement or updating, as this new one illustrates.Raybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424095016313843883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-36784322001279393652016-10-02T14:34:40.943-07:002016-10-02T14:34:40.943-07:00My only favorite "cowboy" movie is Tombs...My only favorite "cowboy" movie is Tombstone for obvious reasons: the mustaches!!lotta joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12742978845913126675noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-43002828000131950262016-10-02T14:14:00.800-07:002016-10-02T14:14:00.800-07:00Why not just re-release the original? But my memory of films seen decades ago isn't a strong one. At least I do recall the 'feel' of the first 'Mag 7' even if very little of the story, and I know that the collective memory of that will endure longer than the for this new one.Raybeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424095016313843883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-926347286766677626.post-30148006791895290632016-09-30T04:50:37.336-07:002016-09-30T04:50:37.336-07:00Didn't see the original and probably won't...Didn't see the original and probably won't see this umpteenth remake of this tired old formula. I only went through a sense of 'duty' and though certainly not bowled over at least had my curiosity satisfied.<br />I'm with you on war films, and especially gone weary with going over Nazi times over and over again.
